V Star 950 is the benchmark mid-range cruiser class, appealing to experienced riders and those seeking a friendly entry-level cruiser. Air-cooled V-twin engine offers plenty of distinctive, big-cruiser character and pulsing torque feel. Seat height is 26.5 inches low. Full-size bed frame is a long, eyes downcast, and offers space and comfort. The management is sporty and responsive, a winding streets and commuting around the city and open road cruising.
The 942cc 60 ° V-twin engine is both simple and sophisticated. Of course, there's no-frills air cooling for the traditional look. But inside, you will find the reason for the surprisingly lively performance, four-valve cylinder heads, ceramic lined composite cylinders, forged aluminum pistons and fuel injection. The carefully adjusted 2-in-1 exhaust system has a raspy exhaust note, as technology and 3-way catalysts to reduce air pollution.
Carefully designed to facilitate the start of a very slight feeling of riders will appreciate. Double-cradle steel frame provides the ideal balance of stiffness in the longitudinal, transverse and torsional, using the engine as a stressed member. The mounting position slightly forward of the engine for optimum front-rear weight distribution and its large 18-inch front wheel, V-Star 950 is an excellent performance handling.

Engine:
The 57.5 cubic centimeters (942 cc) engine is an SOHC air-cooled 60 ° V-twin. With four valves per cylinder, a combustion chamber of the pent-roof shaped, and the compression ratio of 9.0:1, the engine has been carefully designed to produce excellent power characteristics - and best-in-class acceleration .
To keep friction losses to a minimum and help the engine achieve the ideal characteristics, special compact roller-type rocker arm needle bearings are used. They also reduce the weight premium for excellent mass centralization.

The designers realized that the V Twin engine character was so nice to just counterbalancer that it was not necessary. This also contributes to simplicity and less noise.
The advanced fuel injection are used on the 950th V-Star Nozzles are four holes, two types of spray channels for the surface of the valve. It makes a good spray of fuel for combustion faster and more complete that contributes to outstanding ride characteristics. The injection system also adopts an ISC (Idle Control) valve for outstanding idling stability.
Lubrication is provided by a simple, reliable wet sump.
A 5-speed manual gearbox is all new, sensation, and gear ratios to give each rider to exploit the torque of the engine, and enjoy a comfortable cruising at highway speeds. Of course, power is transferred efficiently to the rear wheel via a simple silent march belt.

Chassis / Suspension:
Frame steel double cradle frame is long and low, to promote the bike a large 95.9-inch (2435 mm) in overall length and 66.3-inch step. This means that a great tour to go ahead with it looks great.
Seat height is just 26.5 inches off the floor, one of the lowest around, and a fuel tank that was made as narrow as possible where it meets the seat, it is easy for most riders to put the both feet planted on the ground.
Fenders are real steel front and rear. It improves the quality look and feel, and makes the adjustment easier.
Large 18-inch front wheel can offer the features of this cruiser motorcycle and sports management "Sport Classic" cruiser looks. The low-profile 130/70-18 tire is mounted on a wheel 8-spoke lightweight aluminum. 170/70-16 rear tire adds a layer bias beefy look and helps transfer all that torque and power on the pavement.
320mm and 298mm wide first rear discs provide strong braking capacity with excellent feel.
Front forks feature big 41mm tubes, and the rear suspension is a bottom-link-Monocross shock. The settings are calibrated plush ride that is playing an increasing role as the suspension is packaged in one hand and the comfort of the biggest bumps on the road.
The V Star 950 has a wonderful light feeling. Surprisingly, despite having a full-sized chassis, the bike weighs just 613 pounds wet, with a full tank of gas and all liquids.
Additional features:
The large-diameter meter is mounted on the fuel tank for a traditional look. Meter functions include speedometer, fuel indicator, oil level indicator and an odometer with two trip meter functions, fuel trip meter and clock. LCD lighting can be adjusted using a switch on the right.
